Initial aromas are of red currant and sweet spices (mainly cinnamon). The palate is soft, with incredibly smooth and elegant tannin’s that caress the tongue romantically. A slight acidity keeps the fruit components alive. Dominant flavors are of red berries (dogwood cherries) trying to hide a curious hint of oregano crowning a finish of plum skins and raisin’s. Potential Aging of 6-7 years.
Enjoy with plain/smoked/spicy cheeses, grilled/ roasted red meats, pastry dishes with meat, pasta dishes with meat and mushrooms, vegetable dishes .
