The berry, though native to North America is very popular in Eastern Europe where it is called “ Aronija”. Many orchards are dedicated to growing this small black-coloured berry. Aronia Melanocarpa is the scientific name of the black chokeberry bush. This species of aronia is highest in antioxidants. Sip it neat or over ice.
